Operation: Double Bastard 3 Days in

Operation: Double Bastard: 3 Days in

Operation: Double Bastard has been met with some resistance.  My wallet has put up a valiant effort in spending, and my bed and computer have caused delays in my rendezvous with the Gym.

Corny talk aside, I feel like I'm doing this shit in hard mode.  I like hard mode.  Hard mode means progress and struggle. However, I've never worked 45 hours a week (week after week).  I've been adjusting appropriately, during this period of time I've re-sparked my love interest with energy drinks.  Friday was two of the little shits (which of course I bought from the vending machines at 2.50 a pop).  I've had a few coworkers tell me about some alternatives to energy drinks (I need to pursue these options).  I really need to stay away from them, they tend to swing my mood incredibly hard.  Honestly, they're just bad news for me in general.  Have to find an alternative to that green can.

Now, I know victories when I see one, I have not been blowing my money on frivolous purchases.  I haven't surfed my Amazon wishlists or gone and made some fifty dollar online order.  So far the only thing I've spent money on this month is food/beverage.  Baby steps, but a solid move forward.  (Should be noted I bought a new amp and a 360 before August started...so yeah there is that)

Now the second portion of this was training 4 days a week.  I've definitely had some issues getting in there early enough to get a full workout in (about an hour and half).  I have not however let anything stop me from doing my big lifts (squat, bench, deadlift, press etc.).  Which is solid (not perfect, but a step in the right direction) and probably prevented me from getting ridiculously sore.  I love the 5/3/1 program, it'll be slow going for a while but well worth the time investment.
